At 4:00 in the morning, I, Patrik and Gunnar sat at the breakfast table. Dick slept a little longer. Patriks dad Sven drove us to the airport and at 7.00 we sat on the plane. It was gin and Smirnoff. Two hours later we arrived in London. We took a bus to the Hilton hotel to retrieve the rental car, 35 mil to go to the hotel. After about two hours we stopped at Burger King for lunch. Then we left. We checked in and then we went to the Millennium building to buy rally passport. We had to wait nearly an hour before we went inside, Putte talked with a Frenchman before we went to the Shakedown, which unfortunately was rather dull on the tarmac. But there are also rallying as Dick said. Met both some Swedes and a Dane. Afterwards we went to Pizza Express to eat. Dick, Patrick and I took the pizza, while Gunnar took a lasagna. Before the food arrived, we ordered garlic bread. Dick was not measured on the pizza because the size is like a kids pizza here in Sweden, so he took a garlic bread with cheese and extra garlic. It was delicious rating. When we would get the car in the parking garage we had to help the photographer Tony Welam out.
Then we went back to the hotel and slept.

Kl 4.00 på morgonen satt jag, Patrik och Gunnar vid frukostbordet. Dick låg kvar en stund till. Patriks pappa Sven skjutsade oss till flygplatsen och kl 7.00 satt vi på planet. Det blev gin och Smirnoff. Två timmar senare var vi framme i London. Vi åkte buss till Hilton hotell för att hämta hyrbilen. 35 mil att åka till hotellet. Efter cirka 2 timmar stannade vi till vid Burger King och åt lunch. Sen for vi vidare. Vi checkade in och sen åkte vi till Millenium byggnaden för att köpa rallypass. Vi fick vänta i nästan en timme innan vi blev insläppta, Putte snackade med en fransman innan vi gick bort till Shakedown som tyvärr var ganska tråkig på asfalt. Men det är också rally som Dick sa. Träffade både några svenskar och en dansk. Efteråt gick vi till Pizza Express för att äta. Dick, Patrik och jag tog pizza, medans Gunnar tog en lasagne. Innan maten kom in beställde vi vitlöksbröd. Dick blev inte mätt på pizzan eftersom storleken är som en barnpizza här hemma i Sverige, så han tog ett vitlöksbröd till med både ost o extra vitlök. Mycket gott var betyget. När vi skulle hämta bilen i parkeringshuset fick vi hjälpa fotografen Tony Welam ut. Sen åkte vi hem till hotellet och sov.
