My interview meeting with the Group Training Manager went sooo well! Such a cool woman. Bursted in to the gym with high energy, took her hat off, and out came this bright auburn red mohawk and with a big smile on her face, she shook my hand and introduced herself. We clicked straight away and our energies were bouncing off the walls during our chat. I loved every minute of it.
After I had told her about myself, my vision and passion for health and fitness, she gave me some information about the system, salary, training, etc. And without furter ado, she suggested I would get my group training certificate in Body Pump and Body Combat. Pump because I love the classes and like flexing my muscles, and Combat because I have a background in Kickboxing… but also because I kinda like being loud (HAHA! what a joke, right?!! Me loud??! hihi) and in this class I can scream and really push people that little bit extra.
So, if everything goes as planned, I will be attending an educational training weekend with Les Mills and start holding my very own classes in the beginning of January. I’M FRICKING PSYYYYYYCHED!!!!
This is the desciption of Body Combat on Les Mills website:
BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Here’s a tribute to Body Combat that an instructor has put together on YouTube. It’s a bit lengthy. If you’re only interested in seeing what Body Combat is all about, fast forward the video to about 2 minutes in… However, the intro is quite powerful. Makes me feel like I’m gonna be in a movie… hehe. Enjoy!
