Final Fantasy – Whisperwind Cove (Video)

The final dungeon of the game and in my opinion, the most interesting one. Mostly since it contains these really random floors with dancers, lost kids, robots and even Dark Bahamut!

But enough of that, let’s get on to the boss fights!

”Fungahhh!”

If you haven’t figured it out yet since you either never played the games or just not that game, all of these bosses comes from the immensly popular Final Fantasy VI (previously known as Final Fantasy III here in EU & US). A reason as to why it is so popular is most likely because of the Aria de Mezzo Carattere – The opera scene.

Death Gaze
HP: 30000
Attack: 90
Intelligence: 50
Defense: 150
Magic Defense: 220
Agility: 95

Evasion: 30

Just like Omega and Shinryu before him, if you are below a certain % in HP, you’ll run a higher chance of dying than if you’re above it. In Omega & Shinryu’s case, that % is around 30-40% which is about 400 HP. But in Death Gaze’s case, that % is above 80-90%. Yes that’s right, he have the ability to hit for over 800 HP! Anything below that is dangerous. If he’d hit you for say 850 when you had 900, do not even imagine that you can use Curaga to get your health up, Nu-uh. Instead, throw one of your X-Potions right away OR YOU WILL DIE. Chances are that he will kill you before you get the chance to throw it as well but atleast if you do make it, you can continue fighting.

So that’s Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls.
I hope you’ve enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed soloing it, and I hope you’ll come back soon enough since I fully intend to solo the other two Final Fantasy games containing Red Mages, III on Nes (and the DS version later, already started on it) and V on Snes!

So until next time!
